What a gigantic facility with such tremendous added value for the entire area. I actually wonder who covers the immense maintenance costs. Definitely a great example for other cities. I strolled along the almost deserted High Line Observation Deck at 9:30 a.m. By 11 a.m., the deck was packed. Start in the south, because the walk from the low-building Meatpacking District to the enormous skyscrapers in Hudson Yards is truly fascinating. Take your time and enjoy every view of the streets below, the modern architecture, and street art. On the way back, you can admire the world-famous galleries with their exhibitions, have lunch at Chelsea Market or at Empire Diner, or recover from the long walk on Little Island or at the much nicer Gansevoort (sand!) Beach. At the starting point in the south, there's also the famous Whitney Museum with its American Art and a fantastic rooftop terrace. Allow at least half a day, if not a whole day, for everything. It's definitely worth it!

I visited the High Line Observatory and it was an incredible experience. From up there, you get a completely unique perspective of New York City — the streets, buildings, and the Hudson River all look different from above. You can really appreciate the contrast between the modern architecture and the historic neighborhoods. It’s also a great spot for photography, whether you want sweeping skyline shots or detailed views of the city’s bustling streets below. The observatory itself is well-designed, offering plenty of vantage points to relax, pause, and truly soak in the atmosphere. Spending a few minutes there gives you a sense of New York from a fresh angle that you don’t get anywhere else.

Very well done conversion from a defunct railway track to a city park. Has a trail as well as lots of seating. Great spot for a stroll or to just hang out and take in the view of the neighborhood.

I've been here several times always enjoy coming here. You can enjoy a nice walk, read a book or just simply laid back and unwind. As you may know this was an abandoned train lines which was turned into a elevated park. This park runs for just over a mile beggining at little west 12th street and ending at hudson yards 34th street. This elevated park offers great views of the surrounding cool buildings and streets below. You'll find multiple exits along its path. You'll find multiple places to sit and relax.it is a popular tourist spit so keep that in mind. Its also dog friendly so bring your 4 legged friend first a nice walk.

Great vistas and a really well developed elevated walking path. The trees, plants and flowers make this unused rail system a joy to talk through Chelsea to Hudson Yards. Great views of the Edge and plenty of places to stop and relax along the way.
